German robot maker, Kuka has developed what they are calling the world s
fastest robot. The Kuka KR 40 is a four axis robot that integrates carbon fiber into the design. Three out of the four motors on the robot are built into the base thus reducing weight and allowing for more speed and acceleration.
The KR 40 is a medium payload robot capable of roughly 80 pounds. The KR 40 is available for order now and should be shipping out in the third quarter of this year.
