The MediaGear is really marketing this thing very specifically. It’s essentially a tiny USB card reader that can grab stuff off of any kind of card. So far so good. But they’re pitching it as something that you can use with all your old CF and SD cards that are just lying around like so much confetti around your house.
Priced at $15, it just seems like a small 7-in-1 card reader. Whoa. Sorry. Nope, now I get the marketing dosh—That’s $15 for one type of reader, ranging from CF card to Memory Stick. That changes things a little. Now, it just seems like an expensive 1-in-1 card reader. Thanks, Eagle-Eye Aaron. What you did was an old journalistic trick called research. Kudos!
