Big shocker: Ken Kutaragi says that Blu-Ray and HD DVD aren’t going to work together after all. In fact, they’re not speaking to each other and the HD DVD consortium has been seen leaving the Blu-Ray group’s apartment with all of its albums and that African wall hanging that was behind the couch.
Essentially, I think Blu-Ray is going to pop out of this one the victor and HD DVD might be an also ran that wiggles its way across the Pacific Rim and into obsolescence. Sony has too much riding on Blu-Ray adaptation through the PS3 to let this one slip.
