14) Energon (2004)
The Unicron trilogy of animated shows—Armada, Energon, and Cybertron—all had some intriguing riffs on Optimus’ core design tenets. Energon Optimus might be the weakest of the three but that’s not to say it’s a bad design; it’s pretty nifty, it’s just thrown off balance a little by the overabundance of white, even if that is a core color in the character’s palette.
