The Rabbit is one of the first bipedal robots to move like a human. There’s also Honda’s Asimo, which can climb stairs, but the Rabbit can also run, with apologies to John Updike. It was designed in a partnership between the University of Michigan, Ohio State, and Laboratoire d’Automatique de Grenoble. The last one is in France.
