As if the ill-conceived and poorly executed RocBox of last year wasn’t enough, Roc Digital, the “urban electronics” brand fronted by Damon Dash is coming back for more.

The Model 14000—any more zeros and the box would have cost more to print—is a standard flash device with a screen and no OGG support. Prices, you ask? $199 for 512MB (!!) and $99 for 256MB (!!). We’d suggest looking into a Shuffle. While I welcome anything that can brand Apple off of its iPod perch, putting an OEM flash player from 2001 into a shiny case doesn’t add much value to anyone, let alone Dash’s fans.
