Samsung, a company that has long been eating everyone’s lunch in the electronics industry, is now teaming up with Microsoft to market their HD displays to go along with the XBox 360. This is a clear shot at Sony because the Japanese giant has a branded game machine (duh!) so Samsung wants one, or at least as close to a branded machine as they can get. By equating Samsung with HD gaming, they’ve got a slam dunk.
What does this mean for Microsoft? Not much except free advertising as Samsung creates a bunch of chocholate and peanut butter ads about HDTVs—by Samsung—and XBox.
