If $20,000 for a 3-chip DLP is just a little out of your range, it’s time to rejoice (or get a better job. Loser.). According to a British source, Sim2 has reduced the price by half on it’s uber high end front projector. It’s smaller, quieter and fully high def compatible—perfect for that loft you’ve been dying to convert to a home theatre.
Sim2 claims that its ALPHA Path light engine makes it the creme de la creme of 3-chip projectors, resizing the light’s path to make it longer and more compact. Coupled, of course, with good old TI’s DLP technology. It also weighs in at about 24 lb.
