Sony has named Howard Stringer, a Welsh-born ex-journalist, to the top executive spot as Chairman and CEO. Clearly strange things are afoot, as ex-Charmain Nobuyuki Idei was planning on retiring next year, to coencide with Sony’s 60th anniversary. Something has caused Sony’s board to rethink another year with Idei at the helm.
In accordance with gaijin tradition, Sir Howard Stringer will now win the respect of his mysterious, but hard-working peers by growing a beard.
