If you’ve ever driven your car into a tree at 50MPH because you were mad that they cancelled Star Trek: Enterprise, you’ll know that airbags hurt. Toyota has developed a new airbag system to reduce injury. Instead of a single airbag, the new technology uses two bags to distribute the impact over the sides of your face and shoulders while still supporting your head. It will debut in new Lexus models which go on sale in Japan this summer and later in Europe.
