I couldn’t sleep when TransFlash hit the streets. I was so excited: it’s so small and it passes through the digestive system of a dog in one piece! Now, however, I must rethink my joy. TransFlash is no longer TransFlash. It is MicroSD. The name change frightens me and upsets my equilibrium.
SanDisk changed the name after TransFlash was accepted into the SD Card Association. Now, instead of having some weirdly named standard they can just say “You know, like SD cards, only smaller.” Great.
