I’ve seen this thing about 5 million times already, but it seems that we’re getting closer to actually getting some shipping product, at least in Japan. It’s basically a paper-thin LCD created by Citizen and is completely flexible and portable. If this goes to market in 2005, as this article says, look for cooler implementations of the same technology in 2006 and beyond. I would not be surprised if folks aren’t waiting on eBook readers until this tech gets a little more common, thereby offering the mobility of paper and the coolness of LCD.
