Laptop—the number 3 technology magazine in the Honolulu airport—gives us the pros and cons of the new SE Walkman phone. Although it is quite clearly one of the first audio phones out there, it does have a few problems.
First, there’s no WMA and only supports DRMed contact from Sony’s CONNECT service. While there are at least five people in the world who use the CONNECT service—I believe the Sony CEO has four friends—it isn’t quite up to the level of say, Napster or JakesDRMedMP3sForCheep.com.
There is also no memory card slot, which blows goats.
Other than that, it’s really nice.
