Hemmer, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Although the albino Aenar only appeared in six of the Star Trek series’ 10 episodes, Hemmer the engineer quickly became a fan favorite. Although the Aenar have traditionally been humorless, absolute pacifists, Hemmer (played by Bruce Horak) actively tried to preserve life even as he refused to fight and didn’t mind teasing new cadet Uhura into thinking she’d offended him. After getting infected with Gorn eggs, Hemmer sacrificed himself to keep the rest of the Enterprise crew safe. Strange New Worlds won’t be the same without him.
