Gnarly, 80s surf name aside, the radJacket CHARGE (not my capitalizing) is pretty cool, as iPod cases go. As well as keeping your Pretty safe from keys, bag- and pocket-umska, the case acts as a charger, giving your iPod Touch a whopping 46 hours of music, 12 of video and 10 of web browsing, on just a three-hour charge. See it in pieces after the jump.
So far the radJacket CHARGE is Japan-only but it HAS to come over here (those were mine, btw.) [Pocket-lint]

Nothing like making thin, aesthetically pleasing gadgets fatter and uglier. Hurray!
Here's an idea. Let's make a scratch proof screen on a gadget that has a 2 year life span then spend a ton of money on buying cases to protect it.
Does anyone know if this is compatible with all internet features? I want to try to use the BigString distructing IM on it
HAHAHA (mine too)
How about a battery pack on a wire? A nice little brick that can stay in my pocket or bag that attaches to the iPhone/touch with a retractable cord.
How about a thin solar panel that sticks to the back and feeds the player constantly?
I actually think this is a cool idea. Yes, it makes the player bulkier but if you find yourself in situations where you kill your battery, or if down the line your battery's on it's last legs, this is a simple and rather elegant fix.
I'm annoyed that you can't change the battery on the iPhone. If I'm stuck in the airport or on a long flight, if I watch a movie or listen to music, I end up at my destination with a dead phone -- which is not good.
Of course this is no iPhone, but the Samsung Upstage had this out of the box....still a good idea.
Nothing new here...
This is a great idea. My old iRiver came with a similar (battery-based) travel charger and was incredibly handy for the long train rides I had to endure.
How hard would it be to integrate some stereo bluetooth into this thing?
(Since they just couldn't find the space for it in the ipod..... right....)
Imagine the possibilities.
iPhone...not a fan. Maybe when it's 30-80 gigs and isn't exclusive to AT&T or overpriced.
