The economy is going down the toilet, so you get to stick your hand in Uncle Sam's pockets to "stimulate growth." America needs you to go out and spend, spend spend! So the question is will you heed the call? Will you be a patriotic consumer and rush out to buy a gadget you have your eyes on, will you piddle it away on a non-gadget related item, or will you save it like a wuss?

15-inch Macbook Pro!!!!
Cant wait.
the ::crosses fingers:: alleged 3g iphone that will be coming out in the near future!
I'm finally going to upgrade my car stereo to one that has an mp3 jack. And *no*, it's not a 1973 Chevy Vega. 21st Century, here I am!
already bought mine, a 42-inch panasonic 1080p plasma. i had been holding onto my tax refund and xmas money and when I found out the wife and I were getting $1200 from dubya we decided to jump on the deal costco had end of march. but as soon as i get my check it is going into my savings.
Hmmmm...does a new motherboard and processor count?
Refund and the stimulus pkg will be spent on a canon camera, most likely an S5is.
BAM!
although, i dont think its really going to doa damn bit of good for the economy in general.
This goes back to the credit card. Go America! Go me!
o save it like a wuss. - but one that has a lovely vacation fund when the dollar ....doesnt suck....like a dyson vacuum cleaner...which I kinda want.
No, baby room furniture set here.
Too late. I spent it already for my Europe trip.
"I'm giving it away." Hahaha! Good luck!
iPhone.
It calls to me. :/
actually i already spent some of it on a garmin GPS
use it to pay my f*ing credit card bills
Time Capsule
...buying gizmodo.com domain!...
....wait. shto?
spending it.
either on a Cobb AP tuner for my ms3 (whent hey are released), or to pay off some more student loans...
PS3 for me...
I'd love to spend a little chunk of mine on a new Wacom tablet and stash the rest, but that's not going to happen.
I need to move later this year, and both the refund and the stimulus check are going toward a basic set of half-decent furniture for the new place, so I can kick the entire load of shabby junk I live with now to the curb on the way out the door.
Im gunna get me a 16-85 mm Nikkor, Time Capsule, save the rest for 3G iPhone (giving my dad my current one) and my trip to Europe.
Goes back to my credit card payment ... Bye bye American express you F*ersss.........
Was gonna buy a sony soundbar but decided to exchange it into euros, so I have some money when inflation reaches Zimbabwe proportions. You'll see me atop a pile of rice when the rationing starts whereupon I will request all the gizmos you guys buy for handfuls of rice.
I will most def be buying a PS3 with my stimulous check. I really think Sony and Apple BestBuy/CC/Amazon make out like bandits with this extra money in everyones pockets.
Wife and I am going to Hawaii...and I will probably get some PS3 games
ING Direct...here I come....
@Mimo Caceres: But how else are you going to buy stuff at Costco?
@ Seattleted Good one Seattle ted.. LOL
got mine back in feb, and spent it on a thinkpad x61 AND a slingbox solo...super sweeeeet
I'll buy a Bicycle to start comuting to work and save gas.
refund? how about re-fucked in the ass, like last year. I owe them bitches.
I already spent my tax refund on Rock Band, but my tax break in May is going towards a trip to D.C. I'm taking this summer.
The Government of Canada is giving me $1,052.
That, plus GST refunds, equal Macbook Air next revision. Woo!
I wasn't elegible to be stimulated. I had to pay.
Sigh... Tuition.
I will be spending mine on gas, though I suspect many checks will turn around and go to mortgage payments. So much for stimulus.
Laptop and Vacuum Cleaner. The old one flamed out.
The vacuum that is.
Its going twards a large flat pannel TV!
@One2ManyCords: good call.
Already got my 40" XBR4 sitting on it's stand. Thank you Uncle Sam!
Mine is going into the STI fund. Nav system/DVD player included counts as my gadget. The rest of the car counts as heaven on wheels.
I will be spending it in different areas. 1st my cars intake and exhaust 2nd will be Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, and 3rd will be new 40" Samsung LCD, if I am smart i will only end at 2. Hopefully
Everything I purchase related to gadgets, media, and technology is a write off for me so I'm not too upset about not qualifying for W's stupid plan and not getting tax refunds in the first place.
Speaking of which, when's GTA4 coming out again?...I need a PS3 and some more tax relief.
CC gets it all. 24inch iMac will be paid off.
paying off debt for gadgets already owned
Gonna use mine to buy an assault rifle, i am getting ready for after the elections....
Im buying a couple flash units for my camera!
We're buying a house, so I imagine some of it will go to the furniture.
32 gig flashdrive...why ???
It's going straight into long-term savings- just to confound George Bush and the Chinese banks he borrowed it from.
A new 7.1 Home Theater Receiver! :)
If a .45 is a gadget, then yes.
don't even qualify. W can suck left nut
Me neither, didn't qualify. I so wish I made less money... wait, no just kidding :)
I bought a 60in Pioneer Kuro Plasma with my tax return!!! FTW!!!
as i'm from "notamerica"; you know, that other place, I wont be spending it on anything. The world doesn't have" tax day" you know. You do know the internet is global don't you?
No?
I saved most of it for bills and stuff but I did pick up a brand new Nvidia BFG 9600 GT OC. Best card I've ever been able to get so far.
Actually, anyone who uses this refund for anything else other than to pay off debt or to buy locally produced American (not imported) goods aren't going to help at all.
If you use it to buy imported electronics the money is going out of the country essentially. Am I correct?
Saving it for a house (to hold all my gadgets)!
I didn't get a refund, I make too much money.
4k refund... bah! Well I am going to put the bulk of that money into the bank because next year I will hit with a big fat tax bill. I went into business for myself near the end of last year and now I need all the write offs I can get. I am NOT looking forward to next year whatsoever....
@PBRMEASAP:
it can be considered a "Gadget Killer"
I'll be buying some new ape hangers for the bike. FTW!
absolutely! im eyeing up a pair of dell ultrasharp 20's
...and maybe some legitimate software :)
Yes! The 76$ I get back is going to my HTC TyTN II Fund. I almost have enough.
