Surprise! The Ferrari seen in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off wasn’t really wrecked—if it was, I doubt the owner would be expecting bids of around $45,000 for it.

To give you the full story, the 250GT Spyder California isn’t actually one of the 100 originals made by Ferrari—it was a replica created by John Hughes and Paramount. It’s a working model, but I doubt the buyer will be wanting to risk it.

It’s being auctioned at Bonhams Collectors’ Motor Cars on the 19th of April, and is expected to fetch around £30,000 – £40,000. [Bonhams via Retro To Go]
