Nintendo Trademarks "3DS," Plus "3DSPlay" and "3DSWare"

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's President, has been especially cagey about the final name for what's known as the 3DS, but according to recent trademarks filed in Japan the 3DS model name could very well stick.

Also filed were N3DS—which certainly makes sense—3DSPlay, and 3DSWare. 3DSWare should be a similar concept to DSiWare, the online store which DSi owners can download games from. But 3DSPlay? Is that meant to be like Wii Play, which is often bundled with a Wiimote or given away for free? I guess it's only a couple of weeks until we find out anyway, at E3. [Siliconera via Kotaku]
