A Chair Made from Sails for When the Wind’s Knocked Out of You

The Spinnaker chair, named after a lightweight racing sail used to give boats an extra oomph in breezy conditions, looks comfortable enough on its own. But the entire back is made from genuine, used racing sails—beautifully nautical.

The seat itself, made out of cushy foam and covered in a variety of fabrics or leather, is designed to resemble a wind-filled spinnaker—and conveniently supports the arch of your reclined back, with three levels of lockable tilt possible. A variety of sailing fabrics are available for the back, with the option of stitching on numbers or lettering for extra maritime appeal. If your sea legs need support too, there’s a matching footstool available as well. [Spinnaker via Uncrate]
