Just when I thought I could get away with saying I was 25 and holding, scientists from UCLA had to design a test that can accurately predict my age from trace amounts of saliva. Just great.

This breakthrough extracts DNA from residual saliva and examines the methylation pattern. This pattern changes as you grow older and is accurate enough to predict your age within five years.

Instead of using it to screen for underage minors trying to buy beer, Research lead Dr. Eric Vilain believes the test would be a perfect forensic tool to identify the rough age of a suspect or a medical tool to calculate your bio-age. [Medical Xpress; Yanik Chauvin/Shutterstock]
