What’s it about?
As an anthology series, The Twilight Zone was about pretty much anything the writers could imagine. A demon destroying an airplane wing, a man trapped in a library with all the time in the world and no reading glasses, and a cookbook titled “To Serve Man” are some of the culture-permeating plots from this classic science fiction series.
Who’s in it?
Creator Rod Sterling reads the classic opening narration, and the show feature stars like Robert Duvall, Mariette Hartley, Ron Howard, Robert Redford, Burt Reynolds, William Shatner, and others, usually before they hit it big.
Why do we like it?
Back when The SyFy Channel still knew how to spell Sci-Fi, New Year’s Day used to be all about the network’s Twilight Zone marathon. Those of us who have cut the cable cord, however, are out of luck for this year’s countdown.
