The New York Times Is Making Its Paywall Even Stricter and Its Website Harder to Read for Free

AllThingsD is reporting that the New York Times will be cutting the amount of free articles the grey lady lets readers read per month from 20 to a measly 10. The change starts in April and means you’ll be hitting the NYT paywall a lot quicker than you think.

What hasn’t changed is that if you go to an NYT article through Twitter or Facebook, you still can read as much dead tree journalism as you want. Those clicks won’t count towards your 10 article limit. If you’re checking out NYT articles through the website though, you’ll find yourself being asked to pay up. If you need a refresher on how to read the NYT for free, check out our guide here. [All Things D]
