Apple’s Tim Cook and Samsung’s Choi Gee-sung will meet in San Francisco today to discuss a potential settlement in the all-out patent battle the two companies are currently engaged in.
The CEOs aren’t going to be friending each other on Facebook anytime soon, but last month, a federal judge forced them to have a pow wow. The dueling chiefs agreed, though it wasn’t exactly their idea. They will spend two days hashing things out, though chances are slim that it will end in the two sharing a milkshake and braiding each other’s hair. The world war-caliber intellectual property fight is spread across about 50 lawsuits in 10 countries, and it’s wishful thinking to believe that a conclusion will come this week.
