Rumor: These Are the Leaked Specs of the New MacBook Pro and Mac Pro

9to5mac is reporting specs of the new MacBook Pro and Mac Pro which are to be launched later today at WWDC. The details outline the main hardware specifications and come from "reliable sources".

First up is a spec-bumped line of MacBook Pros, in 13-and 15-inch format, which retain the current design. 9to5mac's sources have leaked the following specs:

13.3 inch: 2.5GHz dual core processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive
13.3 inch: 2.9GHz dual core processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive
15.4 inch: 2.3GHz quad core processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive
15.4 inch: 2.6GHz quad core processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive (BTO upgrades to 2.7GHz quad core and 1TB HD will be available)

9to5mac speculates that there is still the possibility that a 15-inch, Retina display MacBook Pro—with a thinner body—may also turn up. It doesn't have any proposed specs for that device at the present time, though. Both of these suggestions fit with what we've heard so far.

Second is the heavily rumored update to the Mac Pro, which 9to5mac confirms, with the following specs:

Normal configuration: 3.2GHz quad-core processor, 6GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and the ATI Radeon 5770 graphics chip.
Normal configuration: 2.4GHz 12-core processor, 12GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and the ATI Radeon 5770 graphics chip.
Server configuration: 3.2GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, Two 1TB hard drives

Mac Pros, of course, can also be built to order but these are the basic specs. Elsewhere, 9to5mac also suggests that an updated AirPort Express, USB SuperDrive, refreshed MagSafe connector/adapter and Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter will all be announced at WWDC. Of course, we also expect plenty of other product lines to get an update, and now there's not long to wait until we find what's happening for sure. [9to5mac]
