Skype has a new video messages feature. Through an Android, iOS, or Mac app, you can send other users three-minute recordings.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft isn’t launching a Windows or Windows Phone app for Skype video messages just yet. These users can still see their these short visual notes, but they’ll have to follow a link from within the chat section of the full Skype client.

The new app works both offline or online, and there’s an option to download your messages to save them. Your first 20 messages are free, after which you’ll have to upgrade to Skype Premium for $5/month. Skype Video Messages hasn’t hit the App Store or Google Play yet, but we’ll update when it goes live. [The Verge]
