Metal Gear Solid 4 Bluetooth Headset Reviewed (Sounds Like Crap)
No wonder Solid Snake is so grouchy in Metal Gear Solid 4. Sure, the MGS4 Bluetooth headset looks like the most badass one ever, but the sound quality is apparently horrible—like you've been kidnapped and gagged with Liquid Ocelot's underwear. How are you supposed to banter with Roy Campbell while ducking exclamation points if he can't understand you? I think this officially ruins our Friday. =( [Gadget Madness via PS3Fanboy via Kotaku]

This is, without a doubt, the absolute best Bluetooth headset ever made by human hands. We have no idea whether the battery life is acceptable, whether the noise reduction is adequate, or whether it even fits well over our ear. What we do know is that it's a Metal Gear Solid 4 headset, which means it belongs to Snake. SNAKE! This alone makes it worth our $59.99. The fact that stores everywhere, including Sony's own SonyStyle, were dropping the 80GB seemed to point to a conclusion that the 80GB was on its way out. Not exactly. As we found out today, the 80GB version is going to be back on June 12, but it's going to be packed with a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 and a DualShock 3 controller. Are you wearing a protective exoskeletal suit that's independently mobile or are you happy to see these Metal Gear Solid 4 1/6 size figures? Because if you ask us, there's nothing more bad ass than going to work and finding Old Snake and/or non-pussy Raiden staring you in the face while you sip your first cup of coffee. Nothing except actually being Snake. Too bad these are about $180 each, but totally worth it for Sony to bundle these with every copy of the game since it's the one thing that's going to save their lagging PlayStation 3 sales.
