There are all sorts of good sales happening today, but I thought I’d pick out a couple of things that are especially nice. Best Buy has this Proview 14-inch LCD monitor on sale for $149 ($249 with a $100 instant rebate). It’s just 1024 by 768 pixels, of course, but as a second monitor or on an infrequently used machine, that’s a great price. Best Buy has a stupid site that doesn’t let me direct link, but there’s a big sale graphic right on the front (the monitor’s SKU is 6853988 if you want to seach for that). There’s also 20% off a variety of items (including gaming peripherals, like Xbox Live Starter Kits), so check that out, too.
The other thing is this Gateway Connected DVD Player with 802.11g built-in for just $109 shipped, if you use the coupon code SAVE10TVAC to get 10% off, then NOSHIPA for free shipping. With the latest software, you can stream DIVX right to it over Ethernet, wireless or otherwise. I’m considering selling my Philips DVD-642 and picking up one of these instead.
