Although I don’t see it on their website anywhere yet (and it may not even ever make it to the States), Taiwanese peripheral manufacturer Acon (makers of the “Cable Ass’y”) has a new addition to their Power Runner line, the PR-2500, designed specifically for the Apple iPod. There are other external, rechargeable battery packs for the iPod — and certainly ones that are better looking — if anyone actually gets around to importing this one, it might be worth a glance. The 14-hour battery life and LED charge-state indicators are especially nice.
