Here’s something we’re not used to see coming out of Japan: low-cost products. Evergeen has announced the “EG-MP3” series of USB memory type MP3 players. And cheap for Japan means about $60 USD for a 256MB model, which isn’t half bad in America, even. Looking at the low cost, and seeing as how this can double as a USB memory drive, I’m thinking they’re trying to appeal to the “2nd mp3 player” market. You know, the kind of people who think “well, I’m looking for a USB memory thingy, and it’s only another $10 for one that plays MP3s.” Yeah, those people.
Judging by the name of the online vendor (Shanghai Donya), though, I get the feeling this isn’t a Made in Japan product.
