What would Star Wars look like a long, long time ago? It’s a question that’s been asked many times before, but that didn’t stop us from being excited by some of these fan-made CG-renderings of steampunk Star Wars characters. Apparently it’s still nice when someone gets their design aesthetic peanut butter in your science fiction mega franchise chocolate.
The images are all part of CG Society’s Modeling Mini-Challenge, which asked its members to come up with new steampunk versions of familiar Star Wars characters, and one of the reasons we like them so much is that, even with the steampunk redesign, they still fit into the unexplainable Star Wars aesthetic.
