The DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard Combo is DJI’s rugged action camera, and it’s built around a 1/1.3-inch sensor that’s larger than what most cameras this size use, which is why the low-light footage holds up better than you’d expect. Waterproofing goes to 18 meters with no case, and the 1770mAh battery keeps recording for up to 160 minutes and works in temperatures down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit. The Standard Combo comes with one battery, a quick-release adapter mount, and a curved adhesive base.

Head over to Amazon to get the DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard Combo for just $209, down from its usual price of $299. That’s a $90 discount and 30% off.

A full-featured action camera for everything you get up to all fall

What separates an excellent action camera from an average action camera is how big the sensor is; larger sensors can capture more light and don’t require as much processing power to remove noise when shooting in low-light conditions. The 1/1.3-inch sensor size here is quite large for this type of product and provides a huge advantage over other action cameras when shooting in low-light conditions. Even when you’re shooting in heavy tree cover or during sunset, the image won’t be distorted by excessive amounts of noise. DJI also combines this 1/1.3-inch sensor with 10-bit color depth and D-Log M for those who want to grade their video footage after filming.

Shooting at 4K and 120fps allows you to slow down your footage in post-production while still maintaining clarity, as opposed to the choppiness that occurs when shooting at lower resolutions and frame rates. The 155-degree field of view provides ample space to capture a full trail or wave with minimal cropping, and the RockSteady stabilization feature from DJI maintains a horizontal plane throughout the ride, whether you’re riding a bike or a board.

Snorkelers can take their camera to 18 meters with no housing required, and you can also use the camera in a swimming pool right away. Many users have discussed the battery as being one of the best parts of the camera, since it’s said to last approximately 160 minutes of shooting time. It works at temperatures down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the point where many other action cameras will shut off.

The magnetic quick-release system allows for a rapid transition, in about two seconds, from attaching the camera to one mount, removing the camera from that first mount, then snapping it into a second mount. The quick-release will also lock itself once snapped into place to prevent anything from coming loose during your ride. The horizontal and vertical switch is done with the same action as switching mounts.

The DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard Combo is $209 right now instead of $299, and everything you need to start shooting comes in the box, including the camera, a battery, a quick-release adapter mount, and a curved adhesive base. Add a microSD card to that, and you’re set for a full day of recording in the water or out in the cold.
