With this soundbar, you get all your daily TV viewing, movie-watching, and music-listening in one simple-to-use, compact design. The soundbar has a 2.0-channel configuration with two speakers, includes DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio signal processing technologies, features an HDMI eARC/ARC connector and an optical input connector, and offers Bluetooth connectivity for streaming directly from your smartphone.
DTS Virtual:X technology lets a single-bar setup sound much larger than it is. This technology processes audio to create a virtual surround-sound environment, and it also provides an elevated position for sounds in the scene, such as rain falling or a helicopter flying directly overhead. You don’t need to wire up rear speakers for a more immersive audio experience.
Setting up the soundbar is relatively easy. Plug in the power cord, connect the provided HDMI cable to your TV’s HDMI eARC/ARC port, and then turn on the soundbar. When you do this, the soundbar automatically switches your audio from your TV’s internal speakers to the soundbar. Because the connection uses HDMI ARC, your video and audio stay perfectly synchronized, and you can still use your TV remote to adjust the volume.
If you currently own either a Fire TV product or a Fire TV-enabled smart TV, this soundbar is specifically designed to be compatible with those products, so one Fire TV remote controls both your TV and your audio equipment. The soundbar also works with non-Fire TV smart TVs and other TVs that use a streaming media player. If your TV doesn’t support HDMI ARC, you can connect via an optical input.
You can select from different pre-programmed modes for dialogue, music, and movies with the included remote, which also lets you adjust the bass level. The “Dialogue” mode helps when movie scores overpower dialogue, and the “Music” mode enhances musical quality when you’re playing songs instead of watching videos.
When you turn off the TV, the soundbar becomes a wireless Bluetooth speaker for your phone or tablet. You can play playlists or podcasts from your phone or tablet while cooking or cleaning, and Bluetooth pairing takes only a few seconds through your device’s Bluetooth menu.
The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar is relatively short at only 24 inches, giving you plenty of placement options. For example, you can place it atop a TV stand in front of your screen or use the included mounting rings to mount it below a wall-mounted TV for a less cluttered appearance. It’s also made from 18% recycled materials, not including the power adapter and cable.
