In case you missed it, throughout most of last week, Amazon had be hosting its annual summer sales event. You may know this as Prime Day. Any time last week between Tuesday, June 23 and Friday, June 26, you could find great deals across tons of gadgets and gizmos, big and small. Even though the event has officially ended, you can still find some good stuff on sale after the fact.

As an example, right now, Amazon has this Anker USB-C card charger selling for 37% off. The car plug-in normally goes for $54, but the discount ends up cutting off $20 from the top. That leaves you only having to pay $54 for a limited time.

Most new cars have a USB port in them, but typically they’re not very fast at charging. If I use the one in my 2018 Mazda CX-5, while streaming music and using the GPS, it basically can just keep my phone battery where it is as. Won’t go up, won’t go down.

Ultra-Fast Triple-Port Charging

This Anker car port charger, however, can handle much faster charging speeds, allows you to actually top your phone off while you’re driving. It has three ports that can hit a maximum output of 167.5W across them all. The first USB-C port delivers a powerful 100W, while the second USB-C port provides 45W. Then there is an additional USB-A port which can reach 22.5W.

Because this Anker car port charger has three ports, that means multiple people in the car can charger their phones simultaneously. No more fighting over a single cable on a long road trip.

You can even use that first USB-C port to charge more powerful devices. The 100W output is fast enough to bring a 16-inch MacBook Pro from zero to 50% in just 47 minutes. Likewise, you can bring a Samsung S24 Ultra to 50 % in 24 minutes and an iPhone 15 Pro Max to 50% in 27 minutes.

With three devices charging from a single car port, you might think you need to worry about the safety of doing that. Fear not. Anker has implemented heat dissipation vents at the back as well as some other features to work toward overvoltage protection, under-voltage protection, and over-temperature protection.

Packed with the Anker car port charger, you also get a USB-C to USB-C cable, measuring 3.3 ft. You’ll have to provide the other two cables yourself if you want to use all three ports at the same time in your vehicle.
