The Govee Smart Light Bar makes a TV or computer look more appealing by adding colorful ambiance to your viewing experience. Two smart light bars using RGBICWW technology display a combination of multiple colors at once, plus tunable warm and cool white light, to enhance what you’re watching. The Govee Smart Light Bars are designed to sit directly beside or behind a television, monitor, or gaming station. You can lay the light bars down on their sides, stand them vertically, or mount them behind your screen, giving you flexibility in how you position them based on your available space, such as a desk, media console, or shelf.
RGBICWW technology offers much greater flexibility in the lighting effects you can achieve than a standard LED strip. With RGBIC technology, each light bar can produce several colors simultaneously across multiple sections, creating flowing rainbow and gradient effects. On top of this RGBIC capability, the WW in RGBICWW lets you change the white light to a variety of warm and cool temperatures, giving you the option to create soft ambient lighting rather than color effects.
Music Sync uses the light bars’ built-in microphone to respond to sounds around you. When you’re watching a movie, playing video games, or listening to music, the lights pulse and change in response to the audio. Music sync doesn’t require a separate hub or complicated setup.
The Govee Home app provides many features to let you customize and control your light bars. Examples include adjusting color and brightness for each section of the light bar, choosing preset scenes, creating custom lighting effects in DIY mode, setting automatic on/off times, and grouping your light bars with other Govee lights for synchronized control.
You can also use voice commands with your Govee Smart Light Bars. The light bars support voice commands through Alexa, Google Assistant, Matter, and SmartThings, so you don’t need to pick up your phone to change colors, brightness, or special effects. Initial setup in the Govee Home app over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi takes just a few minutes.
The Govee Home app also includes a feature called Light Studio. This feature gives you access to a library of lighting effects created and posted by other Govee customers. In Light Studio, you can search for unique lighting effects, choose the ones you like best, and apply them instantly to your light bars. That way, you can easily switch from your favorite preset to a completely new one whenever you feel bored with your current lighting.
