There’s nothing rotten about this Danish-born Amitech media center, a small form factor PC with a built-in FM radio and TV tuner that can record both television shows, radio, and CDs. And while the specs look pretty good, with a 3-gigahertz Pentium 4 in the nougaty center, the best part is the price: the Amitech Media Center should retail for under $1,000 USD.
My Danish is a little bit cheesed, but I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that the unit, while running Windows XP, does not run Windows Media Center. If any of you can parse the Danes’ internetstik I’d be happy to take corrections. (Thanks, Jakub!)
