Color us excited: awesome director Whit Stillman (Metropolitan) says he’s still hoping to direct the movie version of Christopher Buckley’s novel Little Green Men. The novel follows a George Will-esque talk-show pundit who gets kidnapped by aliens and then has to convince the chattering classes that the UFO threat is real. Stillman says Greg Kinnear has been interested in starring in Green, and “he’d be great in it.” Here’s hoping Stillman’s Jamaica gospel-church movie tanks and he goes Green instead.
