The Anker Steam Deck Dock is a 6-in-1 USB-C hub for handheld gaming PCs, with a hardwired 8.66-inch USB-C cable that plugs directly into a Steam Deck, ROG Ally, or Legion Go. Docked mode gives the handheld an HDMI output for 4K at 60Hz, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB-A ports, one USB-C data port, and a PD-in port that passes through up to 90 watts of charging to the handheld while everything else is connected. The dock measures about 4.3 x 2.6 inches and weighs 5 ounces.

The Anker Steam Deck Docking Station is currently $30 on Amazon, down from its $36 list price for a 17% discount.

An easy way to keep your Steam Deck charged and ready to use

Anker’s built-in USB-C cable is a design choice most other docks don’t share. Standard hubs use a female port, which requires a separate cable to connect the hub to the handheld. Anker hardwired an 8.66-inch cable directly into the dock, so plugging in takes only one motion. The cable coils under the dock when not in use, keeping the dock small enough to throw into a backpack for travel.

The HDMI port on the Anker dock outputs up to 4K at 60Hz via a standard HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 cable. Steam Deck games mostly run at 1080p or 720p on the handheld screen, but when docked to a TV, compatible titles output at full HDMI resolution. Older games, indie titles, and console-ported games play at 4K on the Steam Deck OLED. Media playback also works at 4K for Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming apps.

Gigabit Ethernet gives the handheld a wired 1Gbps internet connection, which is more stable than the Wi-Fi 6 built into the Steam Deck OLED for online multiplayer or large game downloads. Two USB-A ports on the front of the dock accept your keyboard, mouse, wired controller, or external storage drive. A third USB-C port on the front takes the same connections as the USB-A ports, running at 5Gbps for data transfer.

Charging pass-through on the Anker dock accepts up to 100 watts of input through the PD port and delivers up to 90 watts to the handheld. The 45-watt charger that ships with your Steam Deck works fine, though a 65-watt or higher adapter provides more headroom for peripherals connected to the dock. Compatible handhelds include the Steam Deck LCD, Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally, and Legion Go, though the ROG Ally X uses a different body size that doesn’t fit this dock.

Docking stations for handheld gaming PCs range widely in price and feature sets, with Anker positioning this 6-in-1 model at the compact, affordable end of the spectrum. At $30, down from $36, the dock costs less than a AAA game. If you already own a Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally, or Legion Go and want to play on a TV or connect a keyboard and mouse for desktop-style computing, the dock delivers full docking function from a compact accessory.
