Another Day, Another Bluetooth Worm: Lasco.A

By

Reading time 1 minute

F-Secure is reporting another variation of the Bluetooth Cabir worm, this time different enough to warrant its own name: Lasco.A. The main difference here is that the malware is inserting itself into any .SIS executable file on Nokia Series 60 phones, so that just swapping software with someone else can cause them to be infected. The good news is that no one has seen the Lasco variation in the wild, but still—sucky.

Put that phone in non-discoverable mode—or do what I do and threaten everyone to keep 20 yards away from my person at all times.
