And it lives! Apple has fully unveiled the new iMac G5, and it’s basically a Pizza box PC that looks a lot like the new Cinema displays, except white. Available in 17- and 20-inch form, the machines will come with 1.6 and 1.8GHz G5 processors, respectively. I’ll go ahead and throw up this post with pictures, then actually wake up and jump up with more details.

Update: One sort of geeky thing that immediately is noticable is that the iMac G5 doesn’t share the “50% of the processor speed” bus as the PowerMac G5s. That’s going to be a real performance wrinkler (although still a welcome bump from the G4).
