We are a day away from Prime Day. This is Amazon’s big sale to kick off the summer, offering opportunities to save across almost every category of products. The sale will start tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23 and extend until Friday, June 26. Even though we’re still a good 24 hours out from the start, some items have already had their Prime Day discounts implemented. The Apple Watch SE, for example. This has a list price of $249, and has seen dips here in there lately bringing it down to $219. However, for Prime Day (and apparently the day before it), Apple has reduced its price down to $199. This is now a 20% discount, saving you a solid $50. That’s for the Wi-Fi only model. Likewise, the cellular supported version is also $50 off, now at just $249.

If you’re trying to get in better shape, or even just have a better handle on what’s going on with your health, a smartwatch can do wonder for you. The big secret to improving in pretty much anything at all is to track your progress. The Apple Watch SE 3 is able to provide you with the key insights you need to both measure your improvement and stay motivated throughout the process.

This is the third iteration of the Apple Watch SE, and new to it is an OELD Retina display which is readable in virtually any environment, even under direct sunlight. It’s got 1,000 nits of brightness, making it easy to check your pace or glance at an incoming notification while in the middle of a run, outside on a bright and sunny day.

Personal Fitness Coach

The Apple Watch SE 3 is kind of like having your own personal trainer right at your wrist. The Health app can log your workouts, you can keep an eye on your heart rate both in and outside of workouts, and monitor how many steps you’ve taken each day.

Are you a swimmer? You can keep the Apple Watch on while you’re in the pool or open water. It’s designed to be swimproof up to 50 meters, so it’s great for doing laps at your local gym or even taking on a full triathlon.

You can also gain useful insights into your various sleep stages throughout the night using the Sleep app. You’ll be able to see at which hours you were awake, in core sleep, or in REM. Seeing that data mapped out can help you make adjustments to your nighttime routine so you can start waking up feeling well-rested.
