A new flash memory drive from RWC, the Arex Thumbstick V2, will be released any day now in Japan. An update from the previous Arex Thumbstick, the V2 is now available in a 128MB version (black or white) or a 256MB version (b&w + silver, pictured) and will upgrade the the USB connection to 2.0, as well as update the internal battery from Ni-Cad to rechargable LiOn. Unlike other flash memory drives, the V2 needs the battery to facilitate its MP3 and WMA playback, making the 6 gram V2 one of the smaller MP3 players around (if you can deal with only 5 hour battery life, that is).
