Arima U300 Smartphone

Arima is showing off its new U300 smartphone design, and while I’m not exactly sure if it’s a product they intend to launch or just a reference platform (I’m pretty sure its the former), it does do a good job showing that Symbian can be every bit of a PDA-like OS as Palm or Windows. Well, it has touch screen at least – I’m sort of inferring a lot of its other PDA-like qualities from that. But it does have a strong feature set, with a sliding keyboard to expose more of the screen, Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and FM radio. Oddly, though, the screen is just a 65k-color model — I wonder if it’s hard to get a hold of 262k-color screens with touch-film?
