Army Unveils New Uniforms

The Army unveiled their new uniform, with a new camouflage sporting a green, tan, and gray mixture (based on a similar Marine Corps design) that is meant to work in all environments, from the concrete jungle to the forest jungle to the, uhm, sand jungle. Replacing many of the buttons with zippers and Velcro for easy access (including lots of new pockets for gear and gizmos), the new uniforms are looser and more able to integrate with the increasing amount of body armor being worn by soldiers in ongoing campaigns. This is the first major update to the uniform since 1981, when the Army declared all soldiers must wear pants in combat.
