So hey, we’ve got a couple of interesting opportunities coming up around here for bloggers, and I thought I’d pass along word. The first is that we’re looking for someone who is an absolute car nut — someone like me, but who actually follows the whole industry, not just the part where you crash them into walls — and who knows how to blog, play nice with others, and write fantastic dick jokes (Choire says that’s optional, but I know the truth). Basically, I’m looking for some field editors to get out there and cover some product launches, possibly review some things for us, and the like. Volunteer positions, for now — I’ve got some hired help, too, which we’ll be talking about sometime in the near future — but if you’d like to get your name out to a few tens of thousands of people everyday, send me (not Choire) a writing sample to the editor@this site’s email with a [Writing Sample] header or something like that so I can set up a mail filter. We’ve pretty much got our editorial covered with, you know, just me, but since I can’t be on both coasts all the time (let alone other continents), a field team would rock.
Also, I’m more interested in people who are already blogging or writing, just because as much as I’m willing to work with people on reaching my level of impeccable writing, I’m super busy, so I need people who can self-manage. Also, you must be willing to get me ice whenever I need it. Daddy gets so parched writing up the gadgets!
