Another week, and big news is ahead. Let's have a chat and see how Turkey-Day week was in Popular Culture.

Let's get the usual out of the way - this week, and thus this month, Toybox stabilised its views and ended on 642k US monthly People. Not the giddy highs of October, but still, an outstanding goal. Once again, thank you for all the support you've given the site over the month. I was expecting to tell you that this would be Toybox's last month as a recruit sub blog (Recruits only have 3 months crack at the whip), but it surprisingly won't be. After contact with Annalee, it's been decided that Toybox has done so well that I'll be staying on the Recruit Program through December, in the hopes of transitioning into a full time contractor io9 in the new year, still working on Toybox and still hoping to bring you the sort of content you've been enjoying since I started in September.

What does that mean for you guys? Largely nothing - things will carry on in the same way they have done, and I'll still keep you up to date with how Toybox is doing next month through Back of the Box (a feature I had intended on retiring when the site 'graduated' out of Recruits - so you get this for another 4 weeks!) I wouldn't be in this position without the faith and support of you as readers and commenters, so once again, a heartfelt thank you to your support. Let's take a look back on what's been big on Toybox.

The Best of The Best

A veritable handful of Toybox's features and biggest stories of the week.

And The Best of The Rest

Not every Toybox story gets to grace the front pages of io9. Here's a few things you might have missed.

The only way to get it all though? Keep your eyes on Toybox.
