BT redcare, who according to their web site are the world leader in remote monitoring and management information services (not the Psychic CPAs?!) have just announced a new remote monitoring and management service; this one for your car. Not content to monitor every streetcorner, vending machine, cold storage warehouse, and many private homes in the UK, now redcare can keep tabs on your car or truck or lorry and allow you to unlock it via your favorite Bluetooth device.
The ability to shut off your vehicle when an unauthorized person has taken it might be nice, although the system also requires your car be tracked by GSM. Oh, and the GSM/GPRS system can track your vehicle across 27 EU countries, just in case someone steals your car and rows it across the Channel, I guess.
