Taiwanese CARRY Computer has an update to their combination DVD+R player/CD-RW/flash card reader called the ‘FotoBar’ that is designed primarily to burn data from memory cards onto CDs or DVDs. You can also hook the FotoBar up to your PC via USB 2.0 to act as a regular card reader or burner. In addition, you can even throw MPEG and DivX files onto the FotoBar and play them through its S-Video or Composite outs. An LCD screen would be nice, of course, but as a hybrid device it’s pretty intriguing. The FotoBar will support SD/MMC/Memory Stick (and Pro)/Smart Media/CF/and optionally xD.
