Not content to let Sony and Sharp’s WiFi TVs dominate the (I’m maintaining minuscule) market, Casio will be releasing the XFER XF-1000, a 10-inch 640 x 480 wireless screen that lacks most of the unique networking of Sony’s LocationFree, instead staking its claim by being waterproof (which I would take mean ‘splash resistant’ not ‘movies in the shower’). It only broadcasts over 802.11b, as opposed to the Sony’s 802.11g, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up about this $1,500 half-assed attempt.
