A power outage can stop your evening dead in its tracks and create a number of problems for you to sort through. Make sure you’re prepared with back up power, lest you’ll find yourself chucking out spoiled food from your fridge that’s gone warm. Anker has a ton of offerings when it comes to power stations, and right now Amazon has the second-generation Solix C1000 selling for a $100 discount: That represents a 17% savings as the price comes down from $599 to just $499 for a limited time.

Anker’s Solix C1000 is capable of providing a 2,000W output (peaking at 3,000W) which can be great for everything from getting the lights back up during a blackout or for taking with you on an extended weekend trip. Camping out in the woods or tailgating a football game in the packing lot, Anker will prove to be a reliable addition to your equipment.

10 Ports for Power and Charging

During a blackout, you’re going to want to make sure everyone’s phone is full charged. Well, with the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2, you can charge multiple devices at once—up to 10, actually. You’ll be able to top off all of the families phones, maybe an e-reader or two, and your Nintendo Switch to keep you busy until the power comes back on.

It can also be used to keep a refrigerator running from anywhere between seven to 14 hours. For when taking it on the road camping or tailgating, you’ll be able to run a blender for just shy of an hour or an electric kettle for about half and hour.

The Anker power station is fitted with six standard AC outlets, each capable of 2,000W. You also have available three USB-C ports, two of which capable of 140W each with the last providing 15W. Then there is a lone USB-A port capable of 12W and lastly a car port that can handle 120W.

When it comes to recharging the portable power station itself, you can bring it back up from empty to full in just 49 minutes of charging when plugged into an outlet. If one is not available, you can also charge it over an alternator charger, car input, AC generator, solar (with the optional solar panel), or a combination of AC generator and solar together.

Anker designed the Solix C1000 to be compact and lightweight. It’s under 25 lbs. and features two handles on either side to make carrying it into and out of your vehicle a breeze.
