Christine O’Donnell analyzes the roles of women in “Lord of the Rings”

If you follow American politics, you know that Christine O’Donnell just won the Republican Senate primaries in Delaware. But you may not have realized that she is a huge Middle Earth geek. In the 1990s she wrote a paper on images of women in Lord of the Rings, and later presented it to an audience where she was asked how she felt about Peter Jackson’s adaptation (answer: hated it). She also said she’s more of an Eowyn than an Arwen. [via Politico]
